You must have a valid bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification to study a master’s degree at an Italian university. At the master’s level, many Italian universities offer a greater range of English-language programs. If you haven’t studied in English before, you can demonstrate your ability by taking a recognized English language test like the TOEFL® or IELTS. You should check with your institution’s foreign office to see whether language exam scores are accepted.
When applying for a study abroad program in Italy, you may be required to submit any or all the following documents as part of the application process.
Academic transcripts from prior studies; University application form; Letter of recommendation; Personal Statement; and Proof of language proficiency (English or Italian, depending on the program).
You may also be required to give a certified translation of your documents into Italian, depending on your institution and the language in which they were written. Always check with your university about any unique application criteria since different schools and programs may have different requirements!
