The average length of time spent studying is six years.

Third year: Beginning in the third year, you will receive a theoretical and practical introduction to illnesses.

Clinical internships are offered in the fourth and fifth years.

6^th year: The final year of medical school is spent working in the university hospital as a potential practicing physician. You assume the responsibilities of a regular doctor. ‘Interns’ are students in the sixth year. In Turkey, this is the first stage of assistant medical education. The university pays Turkish people a modest monthly salary in exchange for their medical services.
